The Arts Emporium and Aaron Framed It!
Emerging Young Artists Competition
A selection of local young and emerging Artists have been invited to enter their artworks for the Emerging Young Artist Competition.
Ten artists aged between 12 – 18 will have their works on display for 2 weeks at Aaron Framed it! (9a Dickson Street Lambton) from the 6th June till the 17th June during which time we are asking you to come along and support them by placing your vote for
The Emerging Young Artist People’s Choice Award
Prizes include a professional frame from Aaron Framed it! and Art Materials from The Arts Emporium and Derivan / Matisse.
The winners will be announced at the opening of The Arts Emporium Studio Exhibition at Studio 48 on Saturday 25th June 2011 from 2:30pm – 4:30pm
It would mean so much for our teens to know that they were being supported by our local exhibiting Artists! So please support them by coming into Aaron Framed It! and placing your vote!

There will be an Exhibition of Paintings featuring a ‘Maritime theme ‘OR’ Historical Maritime and Australia Day Celebrations (past or present) theme’ Sixty paintings are needed for the exhibition.
Sat 23rd January – Sun 30th January 2011 held at Maritime Centre Honeysuckle Drive Newcastle.
Exhibition is run by the Society of Artists, Newcastle and will feature some wonderful Local talent.

The Monday art group will be holding an exhibition of their works at the Rutherford Community Centre on Monday 6 December 2010 from 11.00am to 1.00pm.
Artworks will be for sale. It will cost you only a gold coin donation which will be donated to the Maitland Neighbourhood Centre.

A three week figure drawing class with Julie-Anne Ure start Friday 19th November. Classes are held from 2pm – 4pm in the rooms of the Society of Artists, Lambton park, are $25 per session which includes the room fee and is available for all levels of artistic ability from beginners to advanced. Julie-Anne is a fantastic teacher, a good time and a great results will be enjoyed by all!
